- Teach/assess learners working towards vocational qualifications up to C&G Level 2, within Multi-Skilled Construction (e.g. Plastering, Painting and Decorating, Tiling, Dry Lining etc.), in a classroom-based environment.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
- Conduct daily tool/equipment checks, ensuring secure management protocols are met and that health and safety is prioritised at all times.
- Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours
- Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
- Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
- Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
- Must hold solid, occupational experience of employment within the Construction industry across multi skilled areas; Plastering, Painting, Decorating, Tiling.
- Hold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised Teaching or Assessing qualification.
- Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
- Ideally have experience of delivering training/workshops to groups of learners - or providing on-the-job training within the workplace.
- Must hold own GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above / Functional Skills equivalents.
- Hold a level 2 qualification as a minimum within a relevant Construction trade.
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
