Manufacturing Chemist role in Tockwith.

Role Details:

  • Up to £45K DOE
  • Full Time - Permanent - Monday to Friday

  • Company vehicle after successful probationary period

Our client is a privately owned, well established and reputable company serving the healthcare / pathology / laboratory/ IVD market. They pride themselves on service and quality when delivering and meeting customer needs.

Due to a retirement, they now require a Manufacturing Chemist to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

The Manufacturing Chemist would be involved in:

  • The manual handling of Hazardous Goods for manufacture
  • The day to day manufacture of their range of Laboratory Solvents and Fixatives
  • The Operation of their Hazardous Waste Transfer Station
  • The testing of manufactured product

Experience of Site Chemist:

  • Handling of Hazardous Chemicals and Solvents
  • Use of Manual and Automated wet chemical techniques
  • Use of GLC

Qualifications:

  • Chemistry Graduate or A Levels with relevant experience

Desirable, (can be trained):

  • Fork Lift Licence
  • DGSA
  • COTC for the Waste Area

Own transport is essential due to location and the company operates a no smoking policy.
