Parker Young is delighted to have been retained to search for a Category Manager/ Category Lead for one of the UK's best known and much loved Manufacturing and Retail businesses.

As Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic development, management, and expansion of one of our client's key product categories. This position offers you the chance to lead the creation and execution of innovative strategies that not only meet customer needs but set industry trends. Your primary objective will be to develop a product range that stands out in the market, driving both sales and enhancing our brand’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate & Lead: Shape a cutting-edge product range by identifying market trends and understanding customer needs.
  • Drive Sales: Create and execute dynamic sales strategies that exceed revenue targets and push the category to new heights.
  • Promote & Inspire: Spearhead compelling promotional campaigns that capture customer attention and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate & Succeed: Partner with design, sales, marketing, and manufacturing teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Optimise & Grow: Analyse market data to continuously refine product offering and maximise profitability.
  • Champion Our Brand: Oversee the successful rollout of the category across our client's retail estate, while ensuring teams are equipped with the knowledge and tools to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in category management within the Kitchen/ Bathroom/ Bedroom/ Home retail sector, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively. Being a team player who can work collaboratively across departments is essential, as are exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
