Location: York (Hybrid - 2/3 days office-based) / or office based

This is an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to lead a dynamic team of four Junior Marketing Executives within a market-leading business in the building materials sector. Supplying products to builders' merchants, retailers, and garden centres, the company is seeking an experienced and strategic marketing professional to drive brand growth and engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Junior Marketing Executives to execute high-impact marketing campaigns.
• Creating and implementing the overall marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Managing multi-channel campaigns across digital, print, and trade-focused platforms.
• Overseeing content creation, brand messaging, and customer engagement initiatives.
• Conducting market research and competitor analysis to drive marketing effectiveness.
• Managing budgets, tracking KPIs, and providing performance insights to senior leadership.
• Collaborating with internal departments and external partners to enhance brand positioning.
• Ensuring the professional growth of the marketing team through coaching, training, and performance management.

This role is perfect for a hands-on Marketing Manager who thrives on leading a team while shaping the strategic direction of a well-respected brand.

We are looking for either:

• An experienced Marketing Manager with a proven track record in team leadership and strategic marketing.
• A skilled Marketeer who is looking for their first step into people management, with strong mentoring abilities and a passion for leadership.

The candidate for the Marketing Manager role

• A background in marketing within a product-based industry.
• Experience in digital marketing strategies.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• The ability to inspire, develop, and motivate a marketing team.
• A data-driven mindset with experience in campaign analysis and reporting.
• Either an exisitng Marketing Manager or a marketeer that is capable of stepping into management.
