Job Title: Credit Controller (Maternity Cover)

The York office is a dynamic and collaborative environment where they value diversity, professional growth, and employee well-being.Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team in York on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit control - Chasing customers for invoices
- Answering customer queries
- Releasing orders
- Creating credit notes
- Refunding customers by bank transfer
- Paying vendors by bank transfer
- Allocating cash receipts in different currencies
- Doing credit checks on customers
- Posting vendor invoice
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience within finance, particularly within credit control or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software SAP would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
