SupportED Recruitment are looking for teaching assistants to work with schools in the York area in both long and short term. The roles are to work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. The positions can be general teaching assistant work or include 1:1 opportunities within an SEN setting. In the role your duties will include:
- Helping the child engage with their education, by helping to create an engaging learning environment.
- Supporting a pupil on a one-to-one basis
- Providing social and emotional support
- Monitoring pupil progress
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities
- Generating resources
- Dealing with challenging behaviour
