Description
- Interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques.
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Work closely with management to prioritise business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities within the Accounting & Finance department.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Filter and clean data, and review computer reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
- Collaborate with the team to establish business objectives, develop models, and define reporting metrics.
Profile
A successful Data Analyst should have:
- Great attention to detail
- Confident ability with Excel
- Experience as a data analyst or finance analyst or in a related field.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing large datasets.
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
