A SNAPSHOT OF THE FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNERS DAY

  • Provide insightful support and analysis of business performance to inform decision-making, including delivering timely, accurate, and relevant reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, becoming the primary finance contact for your areas of responsibility and establishing yourself as a crucial and trusted member of their management teams.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the business to position yourself as an expert, offering thorough analysis, context, and commentary on current and future performance.
  • Prepare precise and detailed budgets, forecasts, rolling forecasts, and 3-year strategic plans, ensuring alignment with business deadlines, and support these processes with clear communication and high-quality deliverables.
  • Enhance KPI reporting by improving existing metrics and identifying new, relevant KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of processes by implementing best practices and automation initiatives, working closely with technology teams.
  • Undertake ad hoc analysis and participate in projects as needed.
  • Actively assist the management accounts team by sharing knowledge and insights to facilitate understanding across teams.

  • Proven experience in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Capable of working independently with a history of thriving in challenging situations.
  • Strong communicator with a knack for building effective relationships across the business.
  • Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with over 3 years of post-qualification experience, including expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI development.
  • Proficient in IT with advanced Excel skills, adept at handling large and complex data sets, and quick to adapt to new IT systems.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, skilled in identifying trends in data and effectively communicating insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
