Impression Recruitment are currently seeking a People (HR) Advisor on behalf of our client in Boroughbridge. Our client is a true Yorkshire success story, having started as a family operation over 50 years ago, they have grown to be the largest operation of their kind in the UK today. The business is still family owned and have stayed true to their roots when it comes to building strong relationships with both their customers and suppliers. Our client is now looking for their next addition to the already established HR team. You will play an integral role providing guidance and support to the managers and staff, encompassing a full range of HR work to support and uphold the organisation’s values, aims and objectives. What's more, if you are looking for personal development then the client is happy to offer study support! Your duties as People (HR) Advisor will be:
  • Providing support to Managers during investigations and disciplinaries by taking notes and providing routine advice on company policies and procedures.
  • Collating, preparing and submitting payroll data to the Finance team.
  • Contribute to ongoing development of HR related policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with the training team to arrange inductions for new starters.
  • Handling all associated paperwork and administration regarding company absence policies.
  • Taking an active involvement in HR activity projects including arranging meetings, producing letters, collating and circulating information etc.
  • Ensuring staff records are up-to-date, ensuring that GDPR is upheld at all times.
  • Engaging in marketing activities including employee engagement and attending events to promote company.
Key skills / qualities in order to be successful:
  • 2-3 years experience in similar HR role.
  • CIPD Level 3 / 5 (preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of employment law and legislation.
  • Proficiency using IT systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, HR systems etc).
  • A warm, approachable personality with a flexible communication style in order to converse in the best way possible.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and correctly.
  • A positive, can do attitude and the desire to join a friendly team.
In return, the successful People (HR) Advisor can expect to receive a salary of £28,000 - £36,000 depending on experience / qualifications, working in the office 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
