Operations Manager
- Annual Salary: £40k - £45k plus up to 10% company bonus
- Location: York – Office based with 1 day hybrid

We are seeking an Operations Manager to enhance operational efficiency across our client, a dynamic property consultancy. This role is crucial for ensuring that all departments including property management, facilities management, and accounts operate effectively. The ideal candidate will have a background in property/professional services, with a proven ability to drive operational excellence and support strategic business objectives.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the smooth operation of core business departments, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations and client expectations.
- Manage the accounts department/team, overseeing budgets, cash flow, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Maintain adherence to legal, regulatory, and health & safety requirements across all business activities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to boost business performance.
- Manage budgets, resources, and operational costs effectively.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Facilitate collaboration among department heads and team members to ensure effective service delivery.
- Lead operational staff, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Ensure all key target dates and deadlines are met promptly.
- Support client relationships by maintaining high levels of service and operational efficiency.
- Implement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an Operations Management role, ideally within real estate or professional services.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing processes, budgets, and reporting.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, lease structures, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to implement and manage digital tools for operational efficiency.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
