We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join an established team based in a medium secure hospital caring for adult patients suffering from mental illness, personality disorder and mild to moderate learning disability.

This position is designed for an experienced occupational therapist who has as an interest in working with individuals with learning disabilities and neurodiversity. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist assessments and therapeutic interventions to detained males within the LD/ASD Service Line.

Working in a medium secure setting, you will demonstrate a good knowledge of occupational therapy input into risk assessment and risk management, and will be an integral member of the clinical team. Standardised clinical tools based on the Model of Human Occupation will be utilised where the post holder has identified their appropriateness using specialist knowledge.

The post holder will supervise other members of the occupational therapy team, as well as contribute to service developments. You will act as a positive role model promoting the value of occupation, as well as upholding company values. The commitment to individual clinical and management supervision and continuing professional development will support you in this specialist role.
