Salary: 18,000 - 23,000
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a family-owned contractor specializing in drylining and refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will gain join a newly commenced scheme on a school in North Yorkshire and experience across all departments, providing a comprehensive understanding of the business.
Person Specification:
- Background in project management, construction, or a related field is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of project management principles and practices, particularly in drylining and refurbishment.
- Currently studying towards or possessing a relevant qualification in project management or construction.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage proactively with colleagues across departments.
- Commitment to delivering best value services to customers.
- Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with project management software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Performance Objectives:
- Collaborate with the project manager to deliver drylining and refurbishment projects on time and within budget, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the full project life cycle.
- Assist in ensuring all health, safety, and environmental standards are met.
- Support the delivery of high-quality projects, contributing to the overall presentation and success of the site.
- Learn to effectively manage all project-based activities, understanding development requirements, company procedures, and industry standards.
- Assist with ordering equipment and materials, organizing their use, and coordinating personnel involved.
