About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a family-owned contractor specializing in drylining and refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will gain join a newly commenced scheme on a school in North Yorkshire and experience across all departments, providing a comprehensive understanding of the business.

Person Specification:

  • Background in project management, construction, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles and practices, particularly in drylining and refurbishment.
  • Currently studying towards or possessing a relevant qualification in project management or construction.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage proactively with colleagues across departments.
  • Commitment to delivering best value services to customers.
  • Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with project management software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Performance Objectives:

  • Collaborate with the project manager to deliver drylining and refurbishment projects on time and within budget, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the full project life cycle.
  • Assist in ensuring all health, safety, and environmental standards are met.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality projects, contributing to the overall presentation and success of the site.
  • Learn to effectively manage all project-based activities, understanding development requirements, company procedures, and industry standards.
  • Assist with ordering equipment and materials, organizing their use, and coordinating personnel involved.
