Land Manager - Energy / Renewables
Location: Flexible - ideally based in the North of England or Midlands. Work from home with occasional travel to sites and HQ.
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience) plus car allowance, 10% bonus, and excellent benefits.

We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding onshore renewables business specialising inwind farms,solar energy, andbattery storage solutions. As aLand Manager, your role will be pivotal in securing and managing land agreements to support renewable energy projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Building strong relationships and negotiating agreements with landowners, farmers, and forestry managers to secure sites for renewable energy developments.
- Working closely with internal teams, includinglegal,finance,planning, andengineering, as well as external consultants and contractors, to facilitate project progression.
- Conducting assessments for land suitability, environmental impact (e.g. bird and wildlife surveys), agricultural use, and archaeological considerations.
- Managing projects at various stages, from contract negotiation to pre-construction and construction phases (this is not a site-finding role).
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A proven background as aLand Manager,Estates Manager,Forestry Manager, or similar role, ideally within therenewable energy sector. Experience withsolar farms,wind energy projects, orbattery storage solutionsis highly desirable.
- The ability to engage with key stakeholders, including landowners, project teams, and external partners, to secure agreements and maintain strong relationships.
- Familiarity withforestry management,agricultural land use, and theplanning and development process for energy projectsis advantageous.
- Flexibility and Mobility: A willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings at HQ, as required.
