Straight-Line Civils is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a background in heavy civils for sites in York and Carlisle.
The role involves preparing bills of quantities, budgeting, cost control, and managing client and subcontractor relationships.
Candidates must have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the heavy civils industry and familiarity with New Engineering Contracts (NEC).
This is a permanent site-based position with a negotiable salary dependent on experience, including a company car.
The candidate will be required to have a valid driving license and a willingness to commute, with travel to Carlisle once a week.

Straight-Line Civils are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a background in heavy civils to start on sites in York and Carlisle.

Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)

Preparing bill of quantities, budgeting, and cost control for projects
Working closely with our engineer & accounts for measuring works on site & submission of monthly valuations
Managing and negotiating with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
Handle contracts meticulously to ensure the company is safeguarded in respect of contractual notifications progress, cost, quality etc
Working closely with managers to ensure financial goals are met
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements

The job is a permanent site-based position in York. The candidate will have to travel to Carlisle once a week.

This salary is negotiable/dependent on experience but will include a company car.
