GSL Education is looking for passionate and dedicated Maths Teachers to join schools in York and the surrounding areas. Whether you're seeking long-term, fixed-term, or temporary supply roles, we have full-time and part-time opportunities available from Easter and September 2025.

This role is perfect for experienced qualified teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable experience in supportive school environments.

About the Role as a Maths Teacher:

  • Teach Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
  • Deliver engaging lessons that support student progress and attainment.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater to a range of learning needs.
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and department staff.
  • Participate in planning, assessment, and extracurricular activities where required.

Teacher of Maths Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and GCSE levels.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
