Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with complex needs, including personal care assistance as required.
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Support students with sensory integration, communication, mobility, and other specific needs to help them access the curriculum and participate in school activities.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.
- Monitor and record student progress, behavior, and well-being, and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
- Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a high SEN or complex care setting, preferably within a school environment.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
