We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Travel Manager who will play a key role in managing a dedicated team responsible for arranging travel, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining compliance with company travel policies. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and motivate a team of Flights & Rail Executives, fostering high performance, professional development, and team engagement.
- Build and improve team capability and motivation through one-to-ones, coaching, feedback, development, and empowerment.
- Oversee daily Flights & Rail operations, including workflows, technology solutions, and maintaining positive team morale.
- Supervise the booking and management of flights and rail tickets to ensure smooth operational processes and a hassle-free customer journey.
- Proactively handle travel disruptions, ensuring all customers reach their destinations while maintaining an excellent customer experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to align with brand standards and operational needs.
- Liaise with other teams in the business to ensure a seamless tour experience for our internal and external customers.
- Participate in the out-of-hours team, providing essential support during non-standard working hours.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a high volume and fast-paced customer-focused environment with a strong emphasis on customer service.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines while exhibiting excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, complex schedules, and prioritise effectively to ensure smooth operation.
- Leadership & Team Management skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills – able to make quick and effective decisions whilst dealing with real-time travel disruption.
- Solid experience in a Travel Management role is highly desirable.
- Passionate about delivering a great customer experience.
- Experience of liaising with suppliers.
- High level of resilience and tenacity.
