Reed FE are supporting a specialist land-based college in recruiting a Foundation Learning Lecturer in Agriculture. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality education in agriculture at our York campus. We are looking for a highly motivated and inspirational lecturer to join their inclusive learning department (SEND).
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver classroom-based sessions on crop production, livestock, wildlife, and conservation.
- Conduct practical sessions including lambing and cattle moving, aiding students in developing practical skills and confidence in working with livestock.
- Collaborate with the team to drive forward quality teaching and ensure high standards are met across all elements of the study programme.
- Support a group of students in gaining the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge required for their courses.
- Proven experience in teaching or a similar role within the field of agriculture.
- Strong ability to engage and inspire students.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
- Relevant academic and professional qualifications in agriculture or a related field.
