Atrium Hopspitality is seeking a dynamic Corporate Staff Accountant to provide accounting support to the property level, including financial statement preparation, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, daily revenue and cash reconciliations and other related finance projects.
The Corporate Staff Accountant will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
Manage portions of the financial statements for assigned properties by applying generally accepted accounting principles;
Prepare and analyzing monthly financial statements in collaboration with the Hotel and Corporate Accounting team, ensuring completion of month end close operations;
Reconcile bank accounts daily and balance sheet accounts monthly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
Review hotel income journals and posting to the General Ledger daily, making corrections or recommendations as required;
Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals;
Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect improvement in department efficiency and services provided;
Maintain and review accounting records and compiling reports from the database;
Work closely with assigned property personnel to ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures;
Performing other duties as assigned to meet business requirements; and
Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
What you will need to be considered for this role:
3+ of related experience in an accounting role
Thorough understanding of and experience with accounting principles to include general ledger, bank, accounts payable and balance sheet reconciliations.
Proven experience in analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports or statements.
Intermediate knowledge in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Possess exceptional word processing and data entry skills.
