Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to fill an experienced Staff Network Architect in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Aurora, CO. In this role, the successful candidate will design and plan network communication systems. Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot and isolate network faults and failures in a LAN/WAN environment. Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selections, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conduct testing of network design. An understanding of dynamic routing protocols such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) are a plus. This candidate will have to Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and software interconnections and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers etc. Evaluate and report on new communication technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Additionally this role will be responsible for building deployable field units in Aurora. Candidates are required to be Security+ certified and willing to voluntarily submit to a polygraph if required after employment. Candidates are required to travel a minimum of 20%. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12+years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years; An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement. Active TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility at time of application, and willingness to sit for a polygraph. Candidates are required to be Security+ certified. Candidates are required to travel a minimum of 20%. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with: LAN/WAN and OSPF/BGP/EIGRP. Current, adjudicated CI or Full Scope polygraph. Firewall Hardware and Software Knowledge, administration, and management. Router Hardware and Software Knowledge. Switches Hardware and Software Knowledge. Encryption Knowledge. Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and software interconnections and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers etc. Evaluate and report on new communication technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
