About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position at a Private Practice in Massachusetts. This 40-day assignment starts on 10/06/2025, with a flexible schedule offering both full and half days. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing chronic cases, conducting physicals, and handling sick visits. This role provides an opportunity to work in a private practice setting, delivering comprehensive internal medicine care. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for patient examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-ups, with the ability to perform procedures being a plus but not mandatory.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:Â
• Provide comprehensive internal medicine care to adult patientsÂ
• Manage chronic conditions and perform routine physicalsÂ
• Diagnose and treat acute illnessesÂ
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plansÂ
• Conduct patient examinations and follow-upsÂ
• Perform procedures as needed (if comfortable)Â
• Utilize rapid tests for flu, COVID-19, and strep when necessaryÂ
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Practice Fusion EHRÂ
• Adhere to all practice policies, procedures, and safety protocolsÂ
• Participate in quality improvement initiativesÂ
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in internal medicineÂ
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed
Additional Information:Â
• Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in MassachusettsÂ
• Experience with Practice Fusion electronic health record system preferredÂ
• Strong expertise in managing chronic conditions and conducting physicalsÂ
• Ability to work independently in a private practice settingÂ
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and care coordinationÂ
• Flexibility to adapt to the practice's schedule, including holiday closuresÂ
• Possibility of assignment extension beyond the initial 40 days
