Data Storage Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Storage Specialist to support and manage our storage infrastructure across multiple data centers. This role focuses on Dell PowerMax and Dell Isilon systems, ensuring effective performance, scalability, and security. The ideal candidate will have experience in replication, automated provisioning, SAN switches, deduplication and compression, disaster recovery, and ransomware recovery.

What You'll Do:

  • Storage Management: Assist with the deployment, configuration, and management of Dell PowerMax and Dell Isilon storage systems.

  • Replication & Provisioning: Support replication processes and automated provisioning to ensure data integrity and efficient resource utilization.

  • SAN Infrastructure: Manage and troubleshoot SAN switches and related infrastructure to maintain efficient storage networks.

  • Data Optimization: Implement deduplication and compression techniques to optimize storage usage and performance.

  • Disaster Recovery: Contribute to the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans to ensure data protection and business continuity.

  • Ransomware Recovery: Support the establishment and execution of ransomware recovery protocols to safeguard against data breaches.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor storage performance and capacity, recommending adjustments to meet business needs.

  • Collaboration: Work with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align storage solutions with organizational goals and industry best practices.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, processes, and procedures.

What You'll Need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in storage management, with exposure to Dell PowerMax and Dell Isilon systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of storage replication, automated provisioning, and SAN switch management.

  • Familiarity with deduplication, compression, disaster recovery, and ransomware recovery techniques.

  • Basic experience with storage performance monitoring and optimization.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Dell EMC Proven Professional, SNIA Certified Storage Associate, or similar are a plus.
