Inspector 4

Northrop Grumman is in need of an Inspector 4 to work at its Elkton, Maryland facility. Job duties: Performs basic programming of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) part programs utilizing PC-DMIS software. Operates Coordinate Measuring Machine and capable of troubleshooting CMM software and hardware issues. Uses process control documents, inspection plans, and prescribed specifications to visually and dimensionally inspect in-process and completed components, subassemblies and assemblies. Uses various measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges, height gauges, and shore A & D hardness gauges. Works from process documents, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Performs line inspections after critical operations to ensure all materials, components, and/or assemblies are acceptable.
