Key Responsibilities

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process for G&A expenses in collaboration with department heads.
  • Prepare and update forecasts for G&A costs, providing insights into potential risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment of financial planning with the company’s strategic goals.

Expense Management and Cost Control

  • Monitor and manage G&A expenditures, ensuring they are within approved budgets.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives across administrative functions.
  • Support contract reviews and procurement practices to ensure cost-effectiveness in purchasing decisions.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Conduct variance analysis to understand the drivers of G&A expense fluctuations.
  • Provide regular financial reports and presentations to senior leadership, explaining performance trends and key metrics.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.

Internal Controls and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external regulations.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in financial governance across G&A departments.

Strategic Partnering and Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key business partner to department heads (Finance, HR, IT, legal, etc.) to advise on financial matters and operational efficiencies.
  • Support leadership in evaluating the financial impact of business initiatives and corporate projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals responsible for G&A expense management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the finance function.
  • Work closely with the  CFO and senior management to align G&A expense strategies with the overall financial objectives.

Key Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    7+ years of progressive financial management experience, with a focus on G&A or corporate overhead. Experience in a large, complex organization is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis. Strong understanding of reporting systems (e.g., SAP-BPC, Hyperion Essbase/HFM and/or OneStream) and advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Leadership and Communication:
    Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend solutions for cost optimization.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Experience Required:

  • Industry experience in Foodservice, Distribution/Supply Chain, Consumer Goods and Services.

Work Environment:

  • This position must be performed from the Corporate facility in Houston, Texas.  Position is Hybrid with 3 days at Corporate office and 2 days remote.
