Sr. Analyst, S&OP Demand Planning

Work Mode: Remote

Location: Remote – Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to gather relevant data and insights for demand planning.  Conduct demand forecasting using advanced statistical models, historical sales data, and market intelligence.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Analyze demand patterns, trends, and seasonality to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Regularly review and adjust demand forecasts based on actual sales performance and changing market conditions.
  • Leverage industry best practices including Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR) for retail and wholesale customers. Ensure all forecasts align with historical and projected Point of Sale (POS) and any other customer insights information to minimize forecast error resulting in improved service levels as measured by Lines on-time and in-full (LOTIF).
  • Manage and refine demand planning processes to ensure forecast accuracy and bias meeting the organizational targets by categories.
  • Manage and maintain forecasting metrics at the aggregate and SKU level for all business teams. Support key stakeholders on the value and importance of performance and leverage historical performance and bias to drive future forecasts.
  • Identify the root cause of historical forecast error and apply key learnings to future forecasts to improve overall inventory health (reduction in shortages and excess inventory).
  • Support the identification and assessment of supply chain risks and opportunities from demand forecast perspectives.
  • Assist in scenario planning and analysis to address potential supply constraints and disruptions.
  • Collaborate with the S&OP team to align demand planning with the overall business strategy.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in demand planning and forecasting.
  • Manage other assignments as directed by the Demand Planning Manager.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
  • Experience in statistical analysis and/or demand forecasting software/tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.
  • Experience with ERP and demand planning software (e.g., SAP IBP/APO) is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
