Position Summary:

This is a Department of Nursing Service position that provides delivery of patient care with a smooth transition from academic nurse to professional Registered Nurse (RN).  Must demonstrate the clinical ability to work as Primary RN on the Unit to which assigned.  Must be able to coordinate the delivery of patient care on the Unit; completes required documentation; participates inpatient/family teaching and discharge planning, effectively utilizing the Nursing Process.  

Reports to: Med Surg/Tele Director

FLSA:  Non-exempt 


Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education
X Associate’s degree Required within 90 days of hire.

EKG Course and NIHSS Stroke within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
