Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Space Assembly Integration and Test (AI&T) Technical Lead to support the final (payload-level) AI&T of a Space RADAR Payload which includes an Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) antenna and processor for a production Space program. This position is on-site in Linthicum, MD in a high bay cleanroom and RF anechoic chamber/compact range. Responsibilities include: Provide technical leadership, direction and support to 12 integration and test engineers supporting 3 shifts (24 hours per day) x 5 days per week Responsible for Test Router and T-Spec (Test Specification). The Test Router is a spreadsheet that contains a list all the testing that occurs while in the compact range and provides the test plan and direction to the Test Directors and Bench Operators. Primary POC (Point of Contact) on the phone tree for technical help Communicate/collaborate with RADAR subject matter experts to evaluate RADAR performance and verify requirements are met for sell-off Communicate technical issues to program leadership Help resolve technical issues with the test procedures and test equipment Help resolve test failures: Determine troubleshooting plan Prioritize testing efforts Determine RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) Work with Program Managers to coordinate staffing and scheduling Determine closure paths to Jira tickets Provide technical input for QNs (Quality Notifications) in SAP production system Generate technical portions of slides for various milestones for Payload test events Pre-range review of hardware coming into the range TRR (Test Readiness Review) prior to Radome installation BOC (Break of Configuration) Review for Radome removal BOC Review for Range removal PSR (Pre-Ship) Review before shipment to the Space Vehicle integrator Trending of Payload Test Data Train junior engineers Payload Representative at various program meetings: TRR and BOCs for subassemblies, e.g., Panels, ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) Antenna, and Processors Payload Engineering Weekly (update Payload AI&T status slide) Payload ERB (Engineering Review Board) Daily Shift Change / CCB (Configuration Control Board) – comment on any new tickets 2nd-to-3rd Shift Change meeting, 9 PM virtually from home ART/FRBs (Anomaly Resolution Team/Failure Review Board) – possibly leading and/or gathering data and generating slides SLCs (Signatures, Limitations and Constraints) meetings; submit/modify SLC entries based on Payload Testing Basic Qualifications: BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with 12 years relevant experience or 10 years with MS Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance, and SCI approval/access prior to start date. RADAR Integration and Test experience Space Integration and Test (I&T) experience at subsystem, Payload, or Space Vehicle Technical leadership Ability for some limited travel (less than 10% time) to support payload delivery and AI&T efforts at the Space Vehicle Integrator's site Preferred Qualifications: BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering Space RADAR Payload I&T experience Active TS/SCI
