Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Manager of Supply Chain Programs 2 to join our Remote Sensing Programs (RSP) Business Unit team in Linthicum, MD. This role will report to the Global Supply Chain Director of the RSP Business Unit. Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible. #definingpossible Role and Impact: The role will have two primary focus areas of responsibilities. First, the manager will act as the Proposal Lead for the BU and will lead the supply chain responsibilities of all proposals within the Remote Sensing Programs Business Unit. Second, the manager will be a Supplier Program Manager responsible to manage a portfolio of strategic suppliers within the BU, requiring a heightened focus on developing and executing Supplier Performance Management Plans (SPMP) for suppliers across multiple programs. Other special assignments to support strategic initiatives and division goals should also be expected. The candidate should thrive in a rapid development environment and be comfortable pivoting to changes in requirements or the operating landscape. The candidate will be responsible for supplier performance and mitigate financial, and schedule risks a supplier can cause the programs. The person in this role should proactively identify supplier performance risks and be comfortable engaging with the supplier’s Executive Leadership to mitigate issues. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of the supply chain proposal process and have experience in cost and pricing data analysis, Commerciality Identification, understanding TINA thresholds, be able to perform similar-too analysis, and understand fair and reasonable competition. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop relationships with strategic suppliers during the proposal phase, and establish a sound execution strategy prior to contract award, fostering a proactive supplier management plan. The candidate must have exceptional writing skills, strong organizational skills, and be comfortable presenting to Executives. The person in this role will be expected to develop and implement process improvements that result in the cost and schedule savings, best practices across Global Supply Chain, and strategic supplier management. This position could involve Control Account Management (CAM) financial and schedule responsibilities which includes Earned Value Management tracking, Intranet Program Review System (IPRS) reporting, and implementing Return to Green (RTG) plans.
