About The Position

Barton Associates is seeking a licensed Optometrist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in California. The assignment begins on 05/27/2025, with a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, with potential for 4-10s. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing comprehensive eye exams, yearly check-ups, and diagnosing and treating various vision conditions. This opportunity requires proficiency in using the Epic electronic health record system and the ability to work with a diverse patient population, including a high percentage of Spanish-speaking patients. The assignment also offers a chance for extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations
• Perform yearly check-ups
• Diagnose and treat various vision conditions
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system
• Work with a diverse patient population, including 75% Spanish-speaking patients
• Collaborate with Spanish-speaking medical assistants and translators as needed
• Manage cases for predominantly Medical/Medicaid patients (78%)
• Adhere to core privileges as outlined in the provided privileging form
