The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Logistics Team Leader/ Manager in efficiently operating the warehouse activities and developing associates to satisfy current and future customer requirements.  The coordinator is responsible for the daily management and utilization of equipment, materials and people in his/her work area to result in the safe handling, receiving, picking, and shipping of finished goods in an efficient manner.  The Logistics Coordinator will assist in the administration and configuration of the WMS (Warehouse Management System).

What You Will Do:

  • Plan/Manage dock flow in order to safely and effectively meet outbound shipment and inbound receiving schedules.
  • Train, develop, and monitor logistics associates in required duties, & skills.
  • Ability to perform safety, procedural & housekeeping audits of the areas.
  • Identify safety hazards & implement steps / changes necessary to mitigate hazards.
  • Proactively communicate verbally and/or in writing with customer service, management, production and maintenance department personnel to meet departmental and plant objectives.
  • Accurately process necessary transactions related to labor reporting and record keeping.
  • Perform daily administrative tasks involved with maintaining inventory accuracy in WMS / SAP systems.
  • Back-up forklift operator for shipping and receiving operations as labor crewing and demand dictates (this is a “working” Lead position)
  • Assist in salvage department as needed.
  • Assist with warehouse improvement projects.
  • Back -up Logistics Lead to cover shifts, this may include off shifts

Position Details:

  • Plant location: Martinsburg, WV
  • Work week and shift: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • Compensation package offered: $29.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two years of Ecolab experience in logistics (shipping and receiving) or five years of logistics experience in a related industry
  • Computer literacy with WMS systems and Microsoft (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, working in a high volume, high SKU count environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring of staff

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • Knowledge of ISO, DOT, OSHA standards
  • Experience utilizing SAP or WMS system
  • Willingness to assume new responsibilities and activities for personal and professional development

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$29.00 / per hour Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
