Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Engineer Intern for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Melbourne, FL. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Sector. Role and Responsibilities: Performs variety of activities supporting software design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Modifying, maintaining, and modernizing existing solutions. Ensures software standards are met. Basic Qualifications: A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2025. Be majoring in or having majored in a Computer Science or Information Systems or related field. Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2025. Preferred Qualifications: Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher. Familiar in scripting languages. Familiar with ASP .NET MVC, .NET Framework or .Net Core, and/or Entity Framework. Familiar with C# or C++ programming languages. Familiar with VMS or LINUX/UNIX operating systems. Familiar with SQL or relational databases.
