The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a second level (level 2) Data Center Manager to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems support team in Melbourne, FL. Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site. Note: This position is contingent on Program Award. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Direct supervision of system administrators & technical professionals to include task management, performance reviews and professional/career development activities. Oversight and management of an enterprise classified data center; responsible for continuous availability, day to day operations, and the support of project-based initiatives. Directly oversee and manage data center stand-up, refresh and migration projects. Monitor and maintain keen awareness of data center environmental elements including power, cooling, temperature monitoring, and rack space to ensure adequate resources and continuous availability. Create data center resource utilization and metric reports for planning and availability monitoring. Interact with internal key executives, Program Management Office and customers on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Identify skills needed and provide required training to meet requirements. Provide guidance and oversight to employees to complete key deliverables and drive results. Drive internal key initiatives such as Digital Transformation and operate with Agile methodologies in order to ensure optimal services. Entrepreneurial, a self-starter and have the ability to challenge the status quo. Provide innovative solutions that create strategic value to our customers. Customer-focused with proven leadership experience and excellent communication skills. Work after hours and weekends as needed. Travel as required.
