Our client, an Aerospace Manufacturing Company is seeking a contract Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of the Operational Excellence Team supporting Manufacturing and Engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong lean manufacturing, analysis and interpersonal skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Mesa, AZ
Pay: $45/hr DOE plus OT, Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Research existing manufacturing processes, materials and equipment
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes, materials and equipment
  • Recommend better processes, materials and equipment changes for increased efficiency, cost and productivity
  • Support new manufacturing implementations based on process, material and equipment recommendations
Requirements
  • BS degree in related Engineering field and 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing engineering in Aerospace including strong process improvement experience
  • Knowledge of avionics and electrical design, integration and analysis and can make recommendations for change
  • Background in sheet metal, composites, materials, equipment and manufacturing processes and experience with older tooling and manufacturing processes like hydroforming and stretching along with more modern processes
  • Possess a good working knowledge of commercial and military avionics equipment, aerospace electrical practices, and general aircraft modification operations 
  • Proficient in the use of CAD programs with complete and thorough knowledge of AutoCAD required; preference given to candidates possessing working knowledge of Unigraphics, NX and CATIA.
