As a Cyber System Engineer for the Ground Satellite Communication Systems, you will play a pivotal role in performing cyber activities for our programs located in Orlando, FL. This position will be located, in office, in Orlando, FL. Roles and Responsibilities include: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. This requisition is open as a dual level opportunity. We will consider candidates at a level 3 or level 4: Basic Qualifications: Level 3: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 5 years of related experience, or a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, OR 9 years of experience in lieu of degree. Level 4: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 9 years of related experience, or a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of related experience, OR 13 years of experience in lieu of degree. Full knowledge of cybersecurity engineering development lifecycle and extensive technical expertise Solid understanding of cyber security best practices (NIST, RMF, CMMC) Security Certification is highly desired (CompTIA Security+, ISC2 CISSP, GIAC GSLC or similar cyber security related certification) Active DoD Secret security clearance investigated within the last 5 years. Preferred Qualifications: Engineering background in Cybersecurity Engineering including deriving hardware and software requirements and designing, developing, and testing systems Experience with TCP/IP network design and troubleshooting Experience with TCP/IP networking technologies and vendor implementations such as Cisco, Juniper, and Dell Experience with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization systems, ability to troubleshoot and configure new Virtual Machines in both environments Experience with virtual storage appliances and technologies such as NetApp and QNapp Experience in recruiting and developing top engineering talent Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills An ability to showcase the company’s capabilities to existing and potential customers to support business development activities Experience working in an Agile framework Experience with U.S. Government contracts Industry Certification (Microsoft MCP, CCNA, CCNP, Linux+, AWS or similar)
