Position Overview:

Ensures that preventative maintenance is safety completed on all front end machinery at the appropriate intervals to minimize unscheduled downtime.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Recognize and correct unsafe conditions, guarding, procedures, or personnel actions.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance on all F.E. equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all front end production and support equipment, in a safe and timely manner.
  • Train Front End Maintainers on equipment operation and maintenance requirements.
  • Perform periodic machinery testing/inspection to determine alignment, wear, and operating efficiency.
  • Complete required documentation on machine maintenance and test results.
  • Assist in other areas as needed to maintain smooth can flow through the plant.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and machines and practice proper safety procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

  • Ability to train others and answer questions on machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Basic knowledge of how electrical components work.
  • Ability to use precision measurement devices (i.e. calipers, micrometers and dial indicators)
