Position Summary:
Penske is seeking an ambitious and inquisitive Financial Systems Technical Expert to join our Controllership team. Penske is a leader in the transportation industry. We help move lives and businesses forward. The Controllership team is looking for an individual to provide ābest in classā support through their expertise and fresh thinking. The Financial Systems Technical Expert will work closely with stakeholders throughout the organization on the development, implementation and ongoing administration and maintenance of OneStream and various other financial systems. In addition, this position will participate in special projects.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead OneStream and other financial systems projects, including implementations and related testing.
- Ensure completion within specifications, on time, and within budget.
- Develop and drive enhancements and improvements for productivity, efficiency, and quality of financial data
- Ensure controls are in place and compliance requirements are met for system changes
- Support the administration, security and maintenance for OneStream and other financial systems, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Areas include the general ledger chart of accounts and related mapping, dimensions, business rules, entity structure, eliminations, consolidation, and other items.
- Through financial systems, support business needs surrounding the monthly close process, planning and forecasting, quarterly/annual financial statements and audits, acquisitions, and other items
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments with financial systems, technology, and best practices
- Perform systems-related assessments and cost benefit analyses. Define business requirements and functional specifications.
- Establish rapport and build cooperative working relationships with relevant internal and external parties
- Provide customer support and training for end users
Qualifications:
ā¢ Minimum 5 years related experience demonstrating knowledge of finance and information systems
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required, with strong information technology skills or Bachelorās degree in Information Systems required, with strong accounting/finance skills
ā¢ Advanced financial system administration experience required
ā¢ OneStream experience required
ā¢ Knowledge of scripting language required
ā¢ Experience with system implementations and project management required
ā¢ Strong organization, attention to detail and analytical skills required
ā¢ Strong communication and presentation skills required
ā¢ Strong team player and self-driven individual
ā¢ Strong time management skills for a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines
ā¢ Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
ā¢ Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
ā¢ Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
