Our client a global leader in engineering and construction, is seeking a passionate Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team at a groundbreaking environmental cleanup project. As a vital member of the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) group, you'll play a key role in designing and building this one-of-a-kind facility.

 

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Richland, WA

Pay Range: $42-45/hr

 

What’s the Job?

  • Collaborate with engineering teams and clients to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Independently plan and execute electrical engineering tasks, demonstrating strong judgment and expertise.
  • Conduct studies, analyses, and develop project scope across all electrical engineering areas.
  • Oversee specifications and procurements for intricate electrical equipment and systems.
  • Clearly communicate technical issues and propose solutions to senior management.
  • Contribute to estimating, staffing, and scheduling efforts.
  • Develop innovative conceptual designs for specialized electrical systems.
  • Interpret and apply new regulations, codes, and performance data.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members, fostering their growth.
  • Potentially lead cross-functional teams in resolving intricate issues.

 

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (13 years experience) or Master's degree (11 years experience).
  • US Citizenship (mandatory).
  • US Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • Expertise in electrical codes (NFPA) and standards (ANSI/IEEE).
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and equipment layouts.
  • Experience with ETAP and similar electrical design tools (CAD, cable software).
  • Experience with special electrical engineering tasks and studies.
  • Prior experience in a nuclear quality and safety environment (a plus).
