Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking an Automation Technician (AM Shift) to join their team. As an Automation Technician, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the manufacturing information systems team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, organization/prioritization skills, and a teamwork spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Contribute to the completion of projects, manage own time on agreed targets, develop plans for own projects and leads small project teams.
  • Demonstrate good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills.
  • Responsible for routine and preventive maintenance work to ensure all the equipment and systems work safely, efficiently, and reliably.
  • Generate and develop standard operating procedures and job aids to support systems and equipment.
  • Analyze operational process problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventative actions.

What's Needed?

  • Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree with 2+ years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 0+ years of experience.
  • Strong electrical / electronic equipment operation understanding.
  • Familiar with industrial control systems such as DCS, PLCs, SCADAs, computerized systems, Historians, and/or SQL Server.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues to root cause and recommending and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral).
