Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Principal Electrical Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. The selected candidate will join a lab design team researching, planning, designing, and implementing test-specific mechanical and electrical systems and instrumentation. You will engineer design solutions to challenging problems through the development of Product Definition Packages (PDP). PDPs consists of 2D drawings and 3D models (NX), various design analyses/assessments (structural/thermal), bill of materials and parts lists, and requirements. Candidate must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction. Specific roles and duties include: Design of mounting solutions for electronic components, Thermal and load analyses of test hardware, Design of instrumentation systems for collecting thermal, stress/strain, and current/voltage information from systems under test, Work across disciplines and functional groups to maintain list of measurements and instrumentation requirements, Design of test-specific cables and wiring harnesses, Lab floorplan and interconnect diagram design/maintenance. Some travel may be required to Promontory, UT, Colorado Springs, CO, and/or Vandenberg SFB, CA.
