Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Test Engineering 2. Ā  This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program.Ā

What Youā€™ll Get To Do:Ā 

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Test Planning Manager 2 for the System Test Team organization.

Functions of this role include:

  • Develops and execute the detailed test planning for flight test missions CDRL A330.

  • Develop Model Based Test Planning framework and automation script.

  • Support customer and program Flight Test Working Groups for test planning.

  • Synthesize test requirements and verification requirements into test objectives, success criteria, measures of performance and required resources for system level tests and demonstrations.

  • Orchestrate and coordinate the development of flight test requirements and detailed test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews (TRRs), test data, and test reports.

  • Execution of qualification and acceptance testing per system level requirements, plans and procedures.

  • Develop test enabling product requirements (i.e. MGSE, EGSE, test instrumentation, test facilities).

  • Support creation of test ConOps flows that maximizes the utility of test resources while meeting schedule and technical requirements and/or constraints.

  • Communicate and engage with the customer through weekly Test Planning Team meetings and additional customer working groups.

  • Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, technical stakeholders, peers, and customers.

  • Participate in internal Engineering Review Boards (ERB), internal and customer test planning working groups.

  • Support program reviews and customer delivery (CDRL) development.

  • Lead test planning campaigns through major program milestones and/or mission threads.

  • Participate in the development of system level IFC requirements and verification plans supporting test and demos.

This positionā€™s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.Ā Ā 

Youā€™ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree; 4 years with a Masters

  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

  • At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule

  • 2 years of MBSE/SYSML principals and processes in a System Test environment

  • 1 year of experience with test engineering principles and processes, specifically Integrated Test Planning and Detailed Test Planning

  • 1 year of experience with Cost Account Manager (CAM) or managing EV for an engineering team. A CAM Certification may be used in lieu of experience.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

  • Masterā€™s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or related discipline

  • Demonstrated experience with system integration and test principles and processes

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Model Based System Engineering principles

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SYSML and Cameo

  • Understanding of Northrop Grumman test processes and tools

  • Prior experience test planning for a missile program

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

Salary Range: $119,300 - $178,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
