Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 1 to become part of the Engineering Management team at the Warner Robins, Ga location. As a Systems Engineering Manager 1, you will play a crucial role in managing an on-site team providing engineering support for multiple programs. Essential Functions: Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: Perform 90% coverage in a technical role and 10% coverage performing the duties associated with this position Leading a team of direct reports and performing functional manager roles such as staffing, recruiting, timecard approval, and performance reviews Maintain high levels of engagement among team members and support their career development Provide technical leadership and guidance by engaging with the team in a daily collaborative style and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Interacting with internal program leadership and customers on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizations Providing guidance and oversight to employees Focusing on customer satisfaction, with proven leadership, excellent communication skills, and a background in change management.
