Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add a Process Safety Engineer to their team on a permanent basis.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm, Friday 8am – 12pm

Salary: £55K - £60K

Daily Duties –

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of vessel safety cases, support safety assessment studies, and bow-tie diagrams for major accident hazards associated with vessel operations
  • Assist Technical Authorities to identify safety and environmentally critical elements (SECE’s) and develop associated performance standards and assurance activities
  • Review operational risk assessments for temporarily degraded plant, process and people barriers
  • Participate in hazard identification and risk assessments, supporting the management of change process
  • Assist with developing emergency response plans and process safety training material for offshore personnel
  • Support inspections carried out by the Competent Authority (OMAR/OPRED) and follow up on findings
  • Liaise with clients to resolve process safety issues identified during rig acceptance process and in operation

Candidate Requirements –

  • Experience with offshore safety legislation and associated industry standards
  • Bachelor or Engineering Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • NEBOSH
  • Full UK Driving Licence
