Michael Page are representing a global industrial business who are seeking a Payroll Advisor to join them! This is a great role to join a passionate HR function, leading the payroll processing for the site in Llanberis.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Payroll Advisor include:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll for weekly and monthly employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Calculating overtime, bonuses, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), and deductions such as pensions and student loans
  • Ensuring timely submission of RTI (Real-Time Information) reports to HMRC and managing year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds
  • Responding to payroll queries from employees and resolving any discrepancies promptly
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal policies
  • Assisting with HR reports, including absence management, headcount analysis, and workforce costs
  • Supporting the HR team with salary bench-marking, benefits administration, and payroll-related audits
  • Liaising with finance teams to ensure payroll costs are recorded accurately and assisting with reconciliations

Profile

The successful Payroll Advisor should have:

  • Experience processing end to end payroll
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in payroll calculations and compliance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-payroll staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll discrepancies and implement process improvements.
  • Proficient use of Office 365 suite: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the use of SharePoint.
  • Adequate understanding of PowerBI - Desirable
