Vision for Education are recruiting for a Deputy Headteacher for a specialist SEMH secondary school in the Lancaster area for a full-time vacancy from after February half-term until July 2025.

About the role
Our client school in the Lancaster area is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Headteacher to join their leadership team. As an Deputy Headteacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational and pastoral provision for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a specialist setting, ensuring the best outcomes for students with additional needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and management of the school, with a key focus on teaching and learning development.

  • Lead on the development and implementation of policies and practices that promote high expectations and inclusion for all students.

  • Oversee behaviour management strategies and interventions, ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to teaching and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.

  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to provide holistic support for students with SEMH needs.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Assistant Headteacher, you will:

  • Have a deep understanding of behaviour management strategies and inclusive education practices.

Salary
£250 to £325 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in a leadership role within an SEMH or specialist setting.
