- Monitor and maintain automated machinery to ensure production is completed
- Safely load hazardous materials into the machines each morning, following strict handling procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections, diagnose faults, and perform necessary repairs to prevent downtime.
- Complete a thorough cleaning of plant equipment and machinery each evening to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Follow COMAH, ATEX, DSEAR (or equivalent) regulations, conducting risk assessments and ensuring all work meets strict safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance, material usage, and cleaning schedules.
- Experience working within a hazardous environment (e.g., chemical, oil & gas, waste processing, or heavy industry).
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations (COMAH, ATEX, DSEAR).
- Ability to handle hazardous materials safely and follow strict protocols.
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g., NVQ, HNC, City & Guilds in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance).
