About the Role:
As the Gift Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the gifting, homeware, and seasonal gift ranges within a dynamic and customer-focused garden centre. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and driving sales within the gift department, ensuring a strong and appealing product range.
- Leading a team to deliver outstanding customer service and ensuring high visual merchandising standards.
- Monitoring stock levels, ordering products, and optimising availability throughout the year.
- Training and developing staff to maximise performance and product knowledge.
- Ensuring that the department operates efficiently and profitably.
- Stepping up to support the Garden Centre Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the centre.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in a retail management role, ideally within a garden centre or similar environment.
- A passion for gifts, homeware, and seasonal product trends.
- Strong commercial awareness and an ability to drive sales.
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a team.
- Excellent organisational and stock management skills.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to work flexibly, especially during peak trading periods.
