Are you an experienced retail manager with a passion for gifts, homeware, and seasonal ranges? Do you have the leadership skills to step up and support a Garden Centre Manager when needed? If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving garden centre group as a Gift Department Manager.



About the Role:

As the Gift Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the gifting, homeware, and seasonal gift ranges within a dynamic and customer-focused garden centre. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and driving sales within the gift department, ensuring a strong and appealing product range.
  • Leading a team to deliver outstanding customer service and ensuring high visual merchandising standards.
  • Monitoring stock levels, ordering products, and optimising availability throughout the year.
  • Training and developing staff to maximise performance and product knowledge.
  • Ensuring that the department operates efficiently and profitably.
  • Stepping up to support the Garden Centre Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the centre.


About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, ideally within a garden centre or similar environment.
  • A passion for gifts, homeware, and seasonal product trends.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an ability to drive sales.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a team.
  • Excellent organisational and stock management skills.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to work flexibly, especially during peak trading periods.
