Are you an experienced Sous Chef with a passion for gastronomy and a desire to work in a historic setting? We are seeking a professional Sous Chef to help lead the culinary operations in a quintessential establishment, renowned for its commitment to exceptional dining and atmosphere.

Sous Chef Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including menu creation and food preparation
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Innovate and create dishes using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and quality
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a culture of learning and excellence
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplier relations to ensure the best produce is available
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen

Sous Chef Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a gastro pub or similar environment, with a strong focus on fresh, local produce
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent hands-on experience in kitchen management and cooking
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a kitchen team
  • Creative culinary skills with the ability to produce exciting and delicious menus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
