Loom Talent are delighted to be supporting with the recruitment of a Logistics Controller for a client in Staines-upon-Thames..

Our client is a family business in a period of transition and requiring additional support across the Logistics and Operations team. The role requires an individual that can start immediately and is available to commit to a 6-month FTC with a strong chance of extension.

In the role of Logistics Controller, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage and schedule inbound deliveries.
  • Manage and coordinate outbound deliveries to retailers.
  • Manage deliveries to end customers, directly or through our third party delivery service.
  • Maintain communication with all involved including retailers, customers, warehouse and office staff.
  • Update and maintain the required documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Schedule vehicle servicing and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.

The role requires a proactive and organised person to manage the inbound and outbound deliveries. You will liaise with the warehouse team, third party delivery team and clients to ensure orders are received, prepared and delivered efficiently. Your strong communication skills and attention to detail are key to facilitating this process. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and will be comfortable with ERP systems; a knowledge of Microsoft Navision would be useful but not essential. Experience in a customer facing delivery role would be advantageous and where required you will take a 'hands on' approach.
