A non-maintained special school in Ashford, Kent is seeking a dedicated and passionate KS3 Teacher to join its experienced team. The school provides high-quality education for young people with a range of special educational needs, including:

  • Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Speech, Language & Communication Needs
  • Sensory Processing Needs
  • Trauma & Attachment Difficulties
  • Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
  • Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)

  • Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong interest in SEN education

  • Be confident in differentiating the curriculum to meet individual needs
  • Have strong behaviour management skills and a trauma-informed approach
  • Be able to build positive and trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Drive and have access to a vehicle (essential due to location)
  • Hold an enhanced Child-only DBS on the update service (or be willing to her a new one)
