- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and knowledge of industry standards and UK regulations are essential for this position.
- The estimated salary for this role is competitive, and candidates should have a minimum of several years of relevant experience.
As an Estimator, you will be instrumental in the early stages of project development by preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of civil engineering works. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that all bids and tenders are competitive, comprehensive, and aligned with project requirements.
Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
- Preparing accurate, detailed, and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering projects
- Analysing project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to assess the scope of work and identify potential risks
- Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to obtain quotations and assess costs
- Developing a database of rates, costs, and historical data to support estimating processes
- Preparing detailed tender submissions and ensuring the timely delivery of bids
We'd like to speak to you about this job if you have:
- Proven experience of working as an Estimator within the civils space
- A strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of industry standards and UK regulations is required.
- A relevant degree or qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is essential.
